The Respiratory Care Board of California applicants page says a credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care, such as CRT or RRT, does not authorize practice of respiratory care in California. It says that to legally practice respiratory care in California, a person must first obtain either a Respiratory Care Practitioner license or a valid RCP work permit issued by the board. The page lists military applicants among expedited pathways and does not print a 68V equivalency. The DMDC primary occupation on the 68V row is 29-2099.00 Health Technologists and Technicians, All Other, not a respiratory-therapist code.
