Section 468.355, Florida Statutes (2025), says that to be eligible for licensure by the board, an applicant must be an active “certified respiratory therapist” or an active “registered respiratory therapist” as designated by the National Board for Respiratory Care, or its successor, and submit to background screening in accordance with s. 456.0135. The section says “the board.” Section 468.352(1) is the definition of that term. The DMDC primary occupation on the 68V row is 29-2099.00 Health Technologists and Technicians, All Other, not a respiratory-therapist code. This sentence is the statute text.
